Hi,
Then I recommend that you open a message with SAP the Notes are regarding the DB settings not SAP versions.
Regards

Thanks David for your reply.
...But I have viewed that note many of times. And you are correct, you shouldn't disable ALL auto-stats but disable only for a few tables per SAP's recommendations. I am having a hard time keeping this one table off (VBMOD). see below.
My EWA report stats this:
Recommendation: Set the AUTOMATIC UPDATE STATISTICS option to "OFF" for tables VBHDR, VBMOD, and VBDATA as described in SAP Note
To do so, use SQL command:
EXEC SP_AUTOSTATS <tablename>, OFF
Background: SAP requires the automatic update mechanism to be deactivated for these tables. Otherwise, system performance can be negatively impacted. These tables are often modified, which means that the statistics are updated frequently. Since this table is accessed only by fully qualified indexes, the optimizer does not require detailed statistics to select the correct access path.
oh, and we are running SQL2005 with R/3 not netweaver.
