Hi,

You only have to change the System number if the CI and DI exist on the SAP host. If the CI and DI are installed on different servers both can have System numbers of '00'

Regards

Ok, so the issue with this installation was the SID I was selecting for the dialog instance

SID for Dialog has to match SID of Central Instance and System nuber must be incremental ( I mean different than the CI ), so if CI has system nuber 00 DI must have System nuber 01

So im back in the game and I am now back to working with Win 2003 64 bits

Well, basically out of desperation, I don't think ive ever struggled so much to get a SAP server up

And we are running out dialogs fast, we are in the middle of a Roll-out to one of our divisions so we added roughly 30% of users and transactions since yesterday

Although we are getting support from SAP with a Go-Live check, I don't see another option to mitigate the Performance issues but to install a Dialog instance

Just wondering if a the Dialog instance could run ECC 6 with an ECC 5 Central instance ?

I think I just ran out of ideas.

Hi,

Why have you downgraded to 32 Bit?

Hi,

You do not need the same version as the CI. The CI is running on 32Bit OS and the Dialog instance is on 64Bit.
