Mohit,
This is such a big subject.
In principle, when you see that you have a requirement that cannot be met by standard SAP then maybe you have a requirement for a RICEF.

An easy example could be a form (the F of RICEF). In my current project we need to send to the outside world several forms.
SAP provides standard forms based on the IDES company but none of them can be used by us without modification.
We need to change the logo, we wish to change the text and layout of the data in the form, we wish to personalise the form so it has our own company data.
To be able to do all this we need to write a functional specification of all the changes we require and a technical guy will make those changes and then ask us to test/approve the modified form.

Kind regards,

Paul Bastone

Hello SAP Experts,

How do we identify RICEF requirements? I mean can anybody tell me atleast one real business scenario in which we require RICEF objects.

I know what RICEF means but being a beginner in SAP, its kind of tough to understand from what I found on internet. If anybody could explain in simple terms then it would be great.

Thank you very much.
Will be waiting for valuable replies.
