I have never tried this, but you can try it if you want.



Run tcode RZ03.

Select the instance you want to stop in the table in the middle of the
screen.

Select in menu line "Control -> Stop SAP instance".

This will stop the selected instance, I think.

I'm not sure if you can stop the instance that you're currently logged on
this way, though.

And it will not stop the database.



Another thing you can try, which I don't think will work...

Run tcode SE38

Execute program RSBDCOS0

Execute command "stopsap".

Hi
The worst day that i have forgotten the IBM server administrator's password,
i need to reboot by using boot disc to change root password but first i need
to down the application probably eg SAP "stopsap".

Yes, i need to stop Production site. Thanks.
