Hi,

Since SAP has been widely used around the world, it is flexible that the screens are automatically translated in the log-on language. However, there are other settings such as forms, master data (short text, long text description) which shall be done by local clients. Due to limited space in this forum, send me a private message to my inbox and I will get back to you with my further detailed recommendations.

Cheers,
HT

Subject: Configuration in different language

> My company in the US (already live in SAP) is buying a company in Spain. We are planning to put SAP there but there is a hard requirement that the system needs to have everything translated in Spanish. I am trying to estimate the effort needed and I would like some feedback from people who has done this before.
I know that all standard SAP configuration and messages are automatically translated by SAP once we activate Spanish in teh system. However, all custom configuration, screens, forms, messages, etc need to be translated and loaded in the system. I am not aware of any tool available to help with this. We also need to translate master data (material master). Of course we also need to work on the exchange rates since the new company local currency is not USD. Am I missing something?
Thanks and regards, Jose Oyon.
