Hi,
First of all, it is of the standard functionality of SAP that when maintaining the GR maintenance via MIGO transaction, end users can be able to search for the related PO based upon the PO document date. Therefore, through proper training and effective procedure, end users can be able to pick up the relevant PO for GR maintenance. If it is mandatory that validation shall be made then there are two alternative solution -
1) Use the "Latest GR date" field in the PO line item and set the related message M7 163 in OMCQ transaction as error status. Through the simple system enhancement using BAdI you can automatically default this field as PO document date during PO creation; or
2) Enhance your system through BAdI to validate the GR creation date against PO document date. If you are interested in this BAdI, get back to me.
