Hi Certi study,

we are on Window 2003 Server with MS-SQL Server 2005, So tnsping is not working for me( I think its only for Oracle). How can I edit registry to remove (regedit?). I have already taken Kernel back up and over written the new one in the exe\uc\NTAMD64 folder.

Thanks.

> Hi,
Check out removing from registry and then recreating it with SAPSTARTSRV.
Also first do with the old copy and look for the old backup in disk or tape
if you have it. I know this is nightmare sometime but not impossible, try
out this option.
What about TNSPING SID ?
I fear you have not mixed up all the backup in run folder, and if thisis the
case copy from the server which is running with same version.
Certistudy.
