It sounds like an equipment records is associated with that material/
serial number. You should be able to use t-code IQ09 to find the
equipment number and try IE02 to change the equipment from having the
deletion flag set as well as changing it back from inactive status.

Jeff, thanks for your quick response. I did everthing
you stated however when it came down to posting I start
receiving hard stops. For example, ser # cannot be use
here, system status DLFL is active & system status INAC
is active.
Anymore advice?
