I replied to this last night but my answer seems to have gotten lost.
Technical wage types are country specific. Some technical wage types are used in all country groupings; for example /101 total gross.
Some technical wage types are used in most (possibly all; I haven't checked :-) ) country groupings but may have slightly different meanings; /101 can be total deductions or net deductions/payments depending on country.
Some technical wage types are only used by one country. For example, the US has a series of /5Ux wage types for use in tax reporting that no other country uses.
Both /106 and /501 are tax-related wage types and are therefore country specific. Molga 99 does not include taxation as this process is always unique to a country.
You can create these wage types in 99 if you like. However, they are in the SAP name range and may therefore be overwritten by support packs or on upgrade, so it is not recommended.
