My best guess would be to check the parameter ID and declare the global variant in the user profile.
It is possible that at some point these users have declared user specific variants as their default.
Also within the txn the preferred variant ID can also be specified. System picks it up as default there after.

In FBL5N we have a default layout set but it is not being picked up for all users when they run the transaction. The few users where this is not working do not have the Parameter ID of F_IT_ALV_AR nor are they running the transaction with a different Layout on the selection screen. Any ideas why it won't pick up the default global variant for all the users?
