[sap-hr] How to Process a Salary Step Raise for a group of employees on IT0008

Hi Colleagues,
I have created my V_510 Salary Tables with PS Groups and Levels. I have assigned my employees to the proper Salary tables via Basic Pay IT0008. The table entries have an original start date of 01/01/1950. If I want to give let's say a 3% across the board raise to the table on 6/29/2009 and then I want a certain group of employees to get this 3% riase I made to the Salary Table. How do I process this? I believe that the first step is to change each entry of the Salary Table in the IMG with a new Start Date 6/29/2009. But How do I get the employees processed to get the step increase raises on 6/29/2009? And how if I do not select certain employees do they stay at the old Salary level with the old rate?
