Dear shery,
you can use batch management for this material and with classification
based on vendor.
This was you will get the stocks and the value of material batchwise.

(Embedded image moved to file: pic04214.jpg) Thank you for your response, Robert - the reason it was decided to go to 3 different materials was because our inventory is valued and relieved at actual. Because those materials vary so greatly in cost, and for pass-through transparency, we felt we needed to differentiate to ensure we were accurately reflecting the value of each. Is there a better way we should go to accommodate that scenario and still have just one material? ~Sherry From: greeniemon via sap-log-pp [mailto:sap-log-pp@groups.ittoolbox.com] Sent: Friday, June 19, 2009 6:56 AM To: Wheeler, Sherry Subject: RE: [sap-log-pp] Material Planning considering all BOM alternatives [http://userimages.toolbox.com/user/b_97759.jpg] I don't think you want to create 3 different materials for the raw material. You should only create one material. You can create source lists and info records which will have the planned delivery time for each vendor. You can even use quota arrangements to distribute your demand to the 3 suppliers. Having only one material will also solve the requirement to have all the stock considered before mrp proposes replenishment. Each of those raw materials has a unique material master number, lead time, and price. We have developed a BOM for this assembly with 2 alternatives based on those three raw materials, and as required, have flagged only one as the 'production' BOM; however, we want the system to consider the combined stock of all three possible materials before it would propose a replenishment of the material in the 'production BOM'. How can this be accomplished? __.____._
