Hi,
1. I have wondered about this myself lately, but haven't found the
answer, yet. Sorry!
2. You don't need to have it as a standalone, but I don't think it's a
good idea to put it together with PI, because both NWDI and PI are very
performance demanding systems.

Subject: [sap-basis] NWDI or Netweaver Composition environment?
I'm starting a new installation, and as opposed to past ones where any J2EE
application were an after-project problem, they will be integrated into this
one.
It seems to me that SAP is continuing it's tradition of naming and renaming
stuff randomly. And thus I have a few questions from my learned colleague
here:
1. Is NWDI and Netweaver Composition Environment the same thing? (just the
latter being a newer version) 2. Do I have to have a standalone NWDI (or
Netweaver CE) or can I have it integrated in some other java-stack component
(PI 7.1 for example)
Thanks, -Bud __.____._
