If you do not want to post the exchange rate of IR and want to post the exchange rate of GR then you will have to reverse IR and post GR and then IR again to use the exchange rate of GR,
 
If you want to post the exchange rate of IR when doing GR later than IR then you could:
 
1. Define exchange rate difference account and do configuration so that the rate difference is posted automatically when you post GR. or
2. Post the difference manually to GR to make the balance zero and then you will be able to post the transaction.
 
I would love to hear about alternatives.

I am having a problem with exchange rate difference.
In OMRW, we checked the box for CCCurr. Which means that the exchange rate on GR will be used to post both GR and IR. That means there will not be any exchange rate difference. This is working fine if I do GR first and then IR. But not working IR first and then GR. My guess is that in the first scenario, when GR is done first, system taking the exchange rate from the exchange rate table and posting. Then when I post IR, system is looking at the exchange rate used during GR and using same rate for IR.
Now, if I do IR first, since there is no GR in system yet, system is using exchange rate as on IR date to post IR. After that when I try to post GR (on a different day with different exchange rate), system trying using exchange rate as on GR date to post GR. If there is a difference in exchange rate from IR date to GR date, I can not post GR, hard error saying ?Balance not zero?.
Any one had this issue before? Any solution is greatly appreciated.
