Reply from KenThomson on Oct 5 at 1:28 AM We had the same problem and have solved it by using a validation rule in the FI configuration area. We did this validation rule in transaction OB28 and created a rule that for a selected company code and a certain range of GL accounts it checked that the profit centre was one within a certain range of profit centres, of which the DUMMY profit centre was not in that range.
We had to exclude from the rule postings where the TCODE was KALC as that transaction does not post a profit centre entry.
