You could use material master "Item Category Group" field and setup and assign a specific value for these "SubInventory" parts like ZSUB for example and then on item category determination configuration, assign this new Item category group ZSUB to your "Oracle Order Type" then if they try to add that material in any other order type, it will give them an error that Item Category Determination for ZSUB is not allowed for that order type. and if in the future the material will be allowed to be sold on any order type, just change the Item Category Group in the material master from ZSUB to the values you have today and it should be allowed in every order now. By Using the Item Category group field that is defined at the Sales Org level, also brings you the flexibility that the same material master could be considered "SubInventory" for Sales org 1000 by having ZSUB item category group but it could have a different item category group for sales org 2000 as maybe a different Sales Org/Dist Channel may consider that same part NOT part of what they call "SubInventory.
