Valuation Grouping Code is a code to have group of valuation areas (Plants)
in similar chart of accounts.

For example: Valuation Grouping Code - 0001
Plants: 1000, 1100, 1200 have chart of accounts INT

All these plants are grouped together in 0001 as they have same chart of
accounts.

This helps in easy FI postings.

Subject: Plants and Valuation Grouping Code

Why do we assign different plants (valuation areas) to a single valuation grouping code?
Is it because these plants have similar business (like manufacturing or trading) activity?
In other words do we assign plants with manufacturing activity will be assigned to one AGC and plants with trading activity are assigned to another VGC?
