| | | ---------------Original Message--------------- From: Jennifer Ciardi Sent: Friday, August 22, 2014 3:41 AM Subject: Issue With Transporting After Implementing Kernel Patches Hi all, We're on ECC6 EHP4 on iSeries OS400/DB400 V7R1. We're taking our 7.20 SAP Kernels from Patch Level 517 to 621? Did Dev and Test. We were testing it out before doing Prod. We found the following issue with transporting: Raising and releasing transports in the Dev master client is fine. Importing to the Dev unit testing client is fine, both synchronously and asynchronously. But importing to a Test client only works if we execute it synchronously. When we import asynchronously to a Test client the import fails - TP error 0212. And it's worth mentioning that importing to a Prod client is still fine, both synchronously and asynchronously, but we haven't touched Prod's kernel yet. Our /usr/sap/trans resides on our Dev LPAR, and is shared out to the Test LPAR and to the Prod LPAR. We've got the latest TP - 621. Note 1887964 discusses the 0212 error, but it blames directory/file permissions. That is definitely not the issue in our case. I've raised an OSS incident but it's low priority. I'm hoping I'll get an answer earlier here. The issue isn't impacting our business, and we have a workaround - we just import synchronously into Test clients. It's just a pain because we always usually import asynchronously. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Jenni. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
