Reply from LCC352 on Jan 27 at 11:48 AM Seeing as the Material Type (MARA-MTART) is in a one-to-one relationship with it's material number (MARA-MATNR), I'm not sure how you would assign the same material number to a different material type, even across business units.
If you think about it, "CEMENT" is not really the same based on how you describe it. One is clearly a raw material, which would probably be one material type (like "ZRAW"), and the other is finished product, which would definitely be a different material type like ("ZFIN").

Is it possible same material number under two different material types different business units?
Example:
If I have 2 different business units ex: Real estate and power plant,
cement is used in both the plants but as raw material(roh) in real estate and consumable in power plant
I am maintaining different code in different plants where as item is same.
I want maintain same material number with two different material types as described above, is it possible.
Please suggest me. |
