you forgot to tell us which database you are using.
my feeling is that database archives are filling up your system.

I am a fresher using SAP IDES through Windows Server 2003 installed on VM, however lately am observing the amount of free space in the partition where the SAP ECC and the Database is installed, is drastically being eaten up, though am not creating much tables or reports (nothing as such to eat up GB's of hard-disk space).
Please suggest as to what might be the cause and if anything can be done if my partition is getting cluttered with temp files or data and hence unnecessarily consuming Hard-disk space.
e.g: since last usage the amount of free space on the partition as changed from 18.20GB to 18 GB !!
if this continues then i would soon have to call the person who installed the IDES on my system and the guy would be extracting a good amount for helping me out of the situation!!
