Question from sapnomad on Dec 14 at 3:09 PM Maybe I totally do not understand the in house production Kanban concept. Is this for a demand source providing a Kanban pull signal for a *finished product* manufactured at the supply source? If yes, this is not what I need. I need to replenish raw material components to the line side to fulfill a production order for finished product. I know that a production order with BOM explosion can trigger internal replenishment of the raw materials to line side. And I know that an event driven Kanban for the raw material can trigger the replenishment. But is there any scenario that would combine the two?...meaning a Production Order that could BOM explode to raw materials, and Kanban takes over replenishment for these raw materials. Or the inverse -- event driven Kanban at the finished product level, which would automatically generate production order that after BOM explosion would trigger the raw material replenishment?
