Hi all:

I think you should check and customize the scope of check MRP is using.
The standard behaviour is that subcontracting stocks and requirements are included on the availability check of the MRP, so that you should check your combination of availability check from the material master and checking rule for the respective operation (I'm not sure but I believe that MRP runs with checking rule BO).
If subcontracting stock is over your requirements and you are running availability check at plant level there shouldn't be any problem.

Regards.

Subject: Stock return from subcontractor

Hi, do someone knows how to set up a process flow to control overstock return from subcontractor?
I.E. we have found a subcontractor with unneeded stock (26 exception in stock requirements list). In the same time, MRP created purchase request for this material for internal use.
If we ask subcontractor to return stock and close purchase request, the following MRP run re-creates PR, while the requested stock is still in process.
Problem could be solved with a 542 reservation, but is not possible to post such a reservation...
Thanks
