Reply from horacio zapettini on Jun 7 at 9:49 AM Well, Adding an index to a standard table always need a good analysis. (you don't want to have a lot of similar indexes in the same table because these could cause other performance issues - they may mislead the SAP SQL Optimizer (which is used before sending the sql clause to the rdbms). In general, update statistics should work fine. Keep in mind that we're talking about standard tcodes (MB1A and MB21... ) If I had to improve these tcodes, I'd check where in the code they are spending more time (just to have an idea of the reason of that). Once I've found the reason, I'd check and apply all the OSS notes that solve the problem. (testing one by one...) Creating an index is the last thing I'd ask my basis team. Horacio.

Cannot say better. After running stats or analyzing ST05, usually adding an index may solve the issue. Pierre | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
