Actually we did maintained the wrong capitalization date in the SAP during
assets capitalization, cause of this we need to make the manual changes of
capitalization date the in the assets register in Excel file. This resulted
into variances between the two i.e. Sap Fa Register and the manual FA
Register.

You can change the capitalization date and this will not effect the
depreciation that has already been posted.
You can change this in Asset Master data.While changing system will
throw you a warning message.i.e SAP gives you a standard warning
message not to change the date
.But it will effect the depreciation that you will be posting in the future.
Can i know the reason as to why you want to change the date? |
