Reply from vicentini on May 30 at 5:19 AM Hi Fernando, Honestly I don't have an answer: just a couple of suggestions. First you can give a deeper look if you go in "asset explorer" (AW01N), choose the Area 02 and the year 2015 and then use the icon "display dep. calculation". here you can see which calculation you have: 12/12? and on which amount? With the lens "depreciation" you can see the parameters that are effectively applied. Usually from here I understand which is the problem ... I suppose that it could be in the Period control and Multilevel method: maybe with the pro-rata Period control when it starts the new method SAP applies something strange. Hope that helps. We migrated the assets with "Start depreciation date" = "Legacy Capitalization date". In that way system automatically calculated the Expired Useful Life and periods once migrated. I will provide an example of a migrated asset and how system is calculating the accelerated depreciation based on the configuration mentioned above. Asset XY Capitalization date: 01.10.2011 Migration date: 01.04.2012 (FY13 Period01) Acquisition: 30.596,07 Useful Life 10 Years Expired Useful Life: 0Y 6Periods (automatically calculated by the system). Takeover values: Area 01 (straight line depreciation) Acquisition: 30.596,07 Acc. Depreciation: 1.912,25 NBV: 28.683,82 Area 02 (Accelerated depreciation) Acquisition: 30.596,07 Acc. Depreciation: 3.059,60 NBV: 27.536,47 Asset Values for Area 02 (Depreciation forecast per FY): <2013 3.059,60- (This is Ok as it is the migrated takeover value) 2013 6.119,22- (This is Ok as it doubles straight line depreciation (30.596/10)*2) 2014 6.119,22- (This is Ok as it doubles straight line depreciation (30.596/10)*2) 2015 4.589,42- (This is incorrect - to my understanding it should be: 3.059,62 2016 3.059,62- (This is correct = straight line depreciation) 2017 3.059,62- (This is correct = straight line depreciation) 2018 3.059,62- (This is correct = straight line depreciation) 2019 1.529,75- (remaining amount to depreciate) My doubt is why system calculates that amount to depreciate on FY2015. To my understanding that is Year 4 and it should start calculating depreciation = straight line. Thanks for the help. Regards,
