Reply from JG-SAPHR on Mar 22 at 6:21 PM Hi Moshe, Your first post says "When changing person position in OM, a new record is created in PA0001 with all the right fields...". Do you change an employee's position in OM (in other words, through a PD transaction)? Normally, the position changes are done through a pers.action PA40 txn. Generally, the reasons to create a pers action are: a)Some fields in IT 0 and 1 can be changed only through pers action. Fields like pers area can not be changed using PA30. b)The change requires changes in more than one infotype c)Some changes, based on certain conditions, may require an infotype automatically inserted in the background or foreground or a function to be called, This is achieved by customizing the dynamic actions T588Z. When you re-assign or transfer an employee from one position to another, a certain pers action is required. This should include infotypes 1, 7, 8, and any others (like 2006). When a personnel action is executed, infotype 0 is created or an existing IT 0 for the relevant period is updated with a sub-action. The reasons to include infotype 7 - the WSR may require a change. For example a change from a normal full time employee to a part timer or shift employee, would need change in WSR. Even a change in an employee's WSR should be through a pers action, because an IT 8 may be needed as created/copied to be in sync. This depends on a company's customizing. Hope this helps Regards, JG

The problem is that fields: Payroll Administrator, Administrator for HR Master Data and Administrator for Time Recording are crated empty instead of getting the values from the previous record in PA0001. Does anybody know why? Thanx! | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
