Well, improving the original idea:
you can use an alternative table to start/stop the logging utility. Going that way, you/they can control when the FM will be logging.

Just tell that you need a log to detect whether the connection is getting lost.

Definitely possible Horacio. The higher ups get a little miffed when
something like that goes to Production, but given I've done my due
diligence, I can force it through.
