Hi Cindy,

It is not really a data corruption but more or less a potential missing of related configuration when you defining a new plant without using "Copy All" functionality. Since there have been many configuration settings which are required at the plant level, SAP strongly suggests you to use this functionality when you customize your new plant.

Cheers,
HT

Subject: Creating a Plant Manually could Cause Corrupt Tables

I've been told that by creating a plant manually could result in corrupt data.

Is that correct? We need a plant id for our corporate office to track assets. There would be no shipments to/from therefore because it is rather basic I wanted to use ox10 and ox18 and be done. I've been told you can't do that for the above reasons, they you have to use a template.

This is very alarming to me, using delivered screens to create data can cause data corruption.

Can someone please explain this?
Cindy
