you can write a PCr for this to generate a absence quota automatically at the starting of the year... Before doing this create absence type,counting rule, deduction rule and assign the deduction rule to the counting rule, and assign the counting rule to the absence type and select as quota deduction.And after creating this create the validityy of the deduction as start of the year and valid through end.Create a time type to store the balances of the quota in t511 and assign to absence quota type.and create a constant in t 555a for 9 days and assign it to the psg.And use this constant to write a PCR.Saying every year 01.01 , the quota should add 9 days to the previous year quota.This should be generated via time evaluation.

I hope it will give little idea about generating quota automatically.

Abhi.

Subject: Automatic absence quota entitlements

Hi experts,

I've been doing re-implementation from version 4.7 to ECC 6.0 Ehp 4 for SAP HR.
in version 4.7, the client use the leave entitlement (IT 0005) in order to record the leave entitlement.

Questions:
1) What is the difference between absence quota (IT2006) with leave entitlement (IT005)? Should I use absence quota instead of leave entitlement in ECC 6.0?

2) How to generate absence quota automatically and set the validity of the quota based on the years of service?
ex: each year, employee get 9 days of quota
2009 = 9 days
2010 = 18 days (9 days + 9 days from the previous balance(carry forward))
2011 = 9 days (assume that all the 18 days in 2010 is not used, so it can't be used any more)

Really appreciate any reply, if my question is not cleared, feel free to ask for any details.

Thanks & Regards,
nessia
