No. What SAP maintains in the OSS Note is very valid. There should be no
business reason to use unplanned depreciation during the year of
acquisition. Change the key to create immediate write off.

The client should tell you what their business requirement is and it is for
you to tell them how to achieve it. Looks like your client wants to dictate
both the objective and the means (albeit wrong) and want you to find a way
to get it done. You need to first understand why unplanned depreciation
cannot be done for the first year. Then, you need to educate the client.
