Hi It is rather an unusual but interesting requirement. It is always ideal to account the asset purchase using the Low Value Class and using a clearing account ( T Code Abzon). I am assuming that the asset you procure is of low value since you say that you pay it off from petty cash. Abzon creates an open line item in the clearing account for procuring assets. You could , as a further step , create a business transaction in your cash journal (either explicitly assigning this clearing account in the transaction category Expense E....you could also create this business transaction with account and or tax modifiable status) . Now execute a payment in the cash journal against this business transaction which pays out the money and debits the clearing account created via Abzon. Regards VidhyaDhar

I am using the Cash Journal function. In customizing on T code FBCJC2 (career, change, delete business transactions) I find that the business transaction types available excludes AA for Asset Postings. I assume because it is because I am going to select a GL account which is a defined as a reconciliation account. And I cannot post directly to a GL account defined as a reconciliation account. Is there any way of going round this. | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
