Does anyone use periodic settlement from WBS to AuC ?
We use periodic because when we went live we didnt want to to settle all costs in WBS from prior years (2009 and prior), instead we loaded those values. We now settled 2010 by each period to Auc. (We also use AIAB to settle to final assets as our WBS elements are not set up as Investment class). However this settlement to auc has resulted in multiple line items in the Auc - one line item for each periodic settlement we did and with the dollar amount for each settlement from the WBS elements. This amount in most cases is not the same amount we use in settling to final asset as we often want to post to multiple final assets so the amount in line items are not same as actual settlement rules we want to use to post to final assets
The issue is we dont settle to final assets (AIBU) based on same settlement rules and amounts from WBS to AuC which is whats sitting in AIAB by line item.
This has resulted in a massive manual effort to change line items in AIAB to match settlement rules to final asset.
Has anyone else had same issue ? Any way round this?
