The foreign currency module would just value the foreign currency with the local currency at the prevailing exchange rate and reverse this with posting date as 'key date+1'.
however this would be in a cumulative manner, not incremental.
To understand your issue, request you to pls send more details.

Hello SAP Experts,
Each month our subsidiaries run the currency valuation module, which translate from their local currency to USD. The result is an incremental change between two periods. For reasons I can't figure out, when we ran the currency valuation for the month of February, instead of just getting the incremental (or period amount posted) we got a cummulative (year-to-date) amount posted instead. I initially assumed that I should reset their valuation and rerun the currency valuation module. I tried this and still got the same result. By the way this is the case for only one of our 20 subsidiaries and has only happened in February 2011. I did some investigative work to see if I could find a similar occurrence, but could not find one.
Any suggestions? If more clarification is needed, please let me know and I will give additional details.
