Thanks Gurus for your replies.... We faced this issue 4-5 times in last one week & every time we restarted it. Now just finished a 5 hours system downtime, wherein did temse reorganization & removed inconsistencies. Hope it works.
Snowy - Else would restart only the spool service instead of full SAP & see if it works.
Shiva - The file doesnot exist on the server. When i had checked the path the file would be created interminently before it generates a batch for another process & the file gets deleted from the path I believe. Permissions for the directory is proper. Also the same was working fine for last 3-1/2 yrs & issue has started only since last one week.

Vijay - Had checked the printer queue when this issue occured & the same was not full.

Regards
Sujit

Subject: Unable to print through SAP... spool error

Hi Gurus,

For last 3 days twice we have got issues with spool printing. Everything would be printing perfectly & then suddenly all printing would stop. Error we have seen in SAP spool error log is "Unable to open file /usr/sap/GP1/DVEBMGS40/data/009v1WwD.GP1 for writing (error 28)
Errors occurred processing this print request
There may be no printout".

We have to restart the SAP systems to resolve the same. We did it day before yesterday, however we got the same error today. Initially we thought that it is due to space crunch, however have checked the same & space is proper. Would request earnest advice with respect to this issue. Our printers are defined at OS level.

OS - Solaris
Database - Oracle 10g.

Regards
Sujit
