Hi,
Firstly, it is mandatory that the storage location shall be maintained. Secondly, if there is not any stock transfer posting, then you don't necessarily need to carry out MB1B transaction with movement type 309.

Business requirement is i have around 200 material which are having wrong valuation class, wish to replace with new material.
I have already checked that there are no open PR/PO nor a stock of the old material.
what steps need to follow so that old material can be marked to delete and new material will be used.
I am trying with one option where i am trying to do transfer posting using MB1B transaction and movement type 309.
But by default it ask for storage location.
is it mandatory to have storage location?
Secondly if there is no stock of material, so during MB1B transaction if quantity to be transfered if i mention zero will it work?
also suggest if any alternatives ways can be used to overcome this issue.
Please suggest.
