Hi,
The critical question you should ask yourself is how these project stocks will be used and if the "actual value" of these stocks shall be "re-allocated" upon consumption. Besides, even if these stock were paid, would it be more logical as far as the project manager / cost controller is concerned, to recover acquisition costs of these stocks? We have had the similar situation in my previous company where we are the engineering company manufacturing equipment using CS order. Since the raw materials we purchased to complete the CS job have already been paid by the customer, any left-over stocks, if being used in another job shall be considered as revenues to the company. If your case is similar to ours, get back to me and I will provide the workaround solution.
Cheers, HT

We have some stock items which were bought for Project. But all of them were not used in the project. I want to bring it over to my inventory but at zero value since the project has already paid for it. I tried to do do it using MIGO (Mvt type 561)...but it took the existing value for that item during the transfe, which defeated my purpose. Can anyone suggest something. I know my MAP will vary but I am ok with it. | | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
