Maybe you can't use both and position to position reporting supersedes Chief relationships. I've never seen anyone use both at the same time.

Is Integration between PA and OM turned on? If the relationships were created after the employees became holders of the positions that are being updated, perhaps PA is not being updated, although I would think that it would be.

You might try running program RHCHECK0 and see if the results provide any useful information.

You might also check the IMG activity "Set up Integration with Personnel Administration" - Basic Settings. The only switches we have with an "X" are:

Generate event with entry T77INT (action designat.
Integration Switch: Organizational Assignment

You might also try running RHINTE30 to update IT 0001 for a test employee.

Good luck!

Subject: Displaying Chiefs instead of Supervisers in PA20 and Adhoc Query

HI - this is a two part question relating to Chiefs. In OM, we currently maintain the Reports-to relationship for Position to Position (002). We want to move to using the Chief relationship - mainly to support standard MSS-type functionality.

Question 1 - in the infotype Headers in PA20/30 we are currently displaying the Supervisor and this uses the Reports-to. Is there a way to instead display the name of the Employee's Chief?

Question 2 - in Adhoc query, there are 3 fields in IT0001 relating to the superviser "Name Name of Supervisor (Organizational Assig" and "Name Personnel number of superior (Org. Manag" and "Name Name of superior (using org. structure)". None of these display the Chief. Is there an easy way to display the Chief in Adhoc Query?

Thanks in advance for your help!
