Hi Cha Cha,

In my dual stack IDES system I used the 70/30% rule in SAP Note 88416. and the performance has been good. What is the Size of the Page file?

As Robin suggested the rest is just changing parameters to adjusting buffers as as time goes on.

Regards

Subject: Performance tuning for SAP IDES ECC 6.0

Hello all,

In the past, my IDES System starts to slow down when 50 or more ABAP users start to use the system. so we have recently upgraded the memory of our server where our SAP IDES resides from 16GB to 32GB.

I've stumbled upon SAP NOTE 88416 - Zero Administration Memory Management and I was wondering how to follow and implement this SAP Note into my system.

Do I need to enter all zero memory management parameters in instance profile or is it enough if i change the value of PHYS_MEMSIZE to 32GB? and by doing this, will the other zero admin. parameters be automatically changed as well? please clarify. I am new to performance tuning so I am still feeling my way in.

And also, regarding the buffers, is there any general rule to changing their values and what the value should be for optimum performance?

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Cha Cha
