Hi Mohit,

Go to T.Code GRR1

Select Library - 5JC
Give a name not starting with a numeral or " ".
Give a description
Click Create

In the next screen you get columns and rows.
Double click on the first column heading.
Transfer "Cost Element" to the left side of the selection.
Click at the bottom the text Icon. Change the name to GL Accounts.
Confirm.
Now double click each row and enter the cost element (as required by you) no of rows = no. of GL Accounts (This will be a one-time task)
Again click on the heading of the first col.
Go to "Edit" at top menu. Select "Gen. Data Selection"
Transfer the CO Area to the left and enter your required CO Area. Confirm.

Double click on the second col. Heading.
Transfer the "cost center" to the left of selection.
Change the text to "Cost center no.".
Confirm

Like this you config all other cols. As required (no. of cost centres).
Save the report.

This is your solution.

Now whenever you want to see the report, you need to select the "report name" created by you and execute, after entering other parameters viz. FY and periods

Hope this will suit your client!!!!

Regards,
ARI

Subject: P/L Statement by Cost Center

Thank you so much everybody for your valuable replies.

@Waza: As of now I would like to build this report through Report painter only because I haven't worked on BI/BW before. Keeping the time constraint in mind, it would be really tough to go through the concepts in BI/BW and build the report.

And as Allan as mentioned about creating variable for each cost center, would I have to do that in BW/BI as well? If you have any documention on BW/BI then send it to me. If I am unsuccessful doing it through Report Painter then I won't be having any other choice but just to make it through BW/BI.

@Allan: I didn't undersatnd the concept of creating dummy Cost Center or an empty Cost Center. And if we create variable for each and every Cost Center then it would display the data for the Cost Center column wise? I mean in the layout as I have requested.
And the Set which I will be going to assign to a variable would be the same for all variables...right??

Waiting for your replies.
Thank you.
