Hi,

One of the possible reasons is that if there are a large number of Security transport requests then one requests could contain the Authorisation Objects that are also contained in other Transport requests. When you import one of the requests some changes included in another request are imported too.

Subject: [sap-basis] Transport Issue

It was discovered that items in my security transports are making it into PRD before they have been tested and approved. We are following the create in DEV, test in QAS and if successful and approved move into PRD process. When I look further, it appears that my workings in progress transports are being pulled along with the approved transports. I began researching this because testers were saying this activity is working in PRD; however I know that it is not supposed to be imported into QAS yet. Also, it was made known from Basis that my security transports ALWAYS take a long time.

Further investigation shows that when I create a security transport even with only one role in it, it writes to tables: USR12, USR13, & UST12. I noticed that tables are the same and have multiple pages of items. Some of the table items are not even changes I made to the role I put in that particular transport.
Could this be why the transports take so long? Can I create a transport without writing to these tables?
Please help me understand and advise......
