You can use them for general transactions only. Such transactions start with F-XX where xx relates to a number. Therefore, you can set default document types and posting keys for general transactions only. In fact you can observe that there is no create / new entry option at all available under OBU1. Therefore, you need to select an existing T-Code and you may set a document type and (or) a posting key for the same.
