I assume you will have the run the transactions AJRW en AJAB several times that the current fiscal year with assets becomes 2009.

Hi,
Can any one of you suggest a resolution for this.
Co code A000 is in existence since 2004 or earlier and had assets in it.
No dep has been charged in that co code till year 2008. They have closed
the year upto 2008 with out charging dep. They tried to run dep postings.
Due to some business requirement, they would like to charge dep from 6th
month 2009. Hence they have given the start of dep as June 6th 2009.
The date of capitalization of assets are prior to 2008.
When I tried to run dep for 6th period of 2009, it gives error as
No posting possible in fiscal year 2009
Message no. AA 688
Diagnosis
No posting is possible in the fiscal year 2009 specified. The fiscal year
specified differs by more than a year from the fiscal year in which the
last postings were performed.
Can you please let me know what could be the possible solution for this.
I tried to change the capitalization date to June 30 2009. But this is not
working.
