This log does not show an error per se. It appears that in this it "decided
to try again". Do you have any hard error in the logs? It does take a
considerable amount of time to build the shadow instance and the gui does
not show much activity, however you should see newer files periodically as
they get loaded in the same log directory by periodically performing the
same ls -otr command. Have you run out of archive log space? During the
building of the shadow everything is logged in the archives and the system
will not prompt for archiving to be turned off until later on sometime prior
to the downtime portion of the upgrade. During the uptime phase you should
schedule many archive log backups to manage the available disk space.
