I am not planning to do anything specific just trying understand how SAP works in relation to conventional inventory controls. You are right I should have used PR, I wasnt been speciifc in that

Normally in Non SAP systems, if I set ROP = 10 then as soon as I reach 10 a PR is triggered

I believe HB is what is commonly known as Min-Max you set a Max and the ROP (actually this ROP ensures the quantity ordered is above a certain quantity.
I think FX is what I call ROP with a fixed order quantity
I have seen a youtube video explaining HB but can't finding anything for FX
In HB where you set ROP = 10 is a PO only created when the stock balance is below 10 ie 9 or less
What about FX if I set ROP = 10 will a PO be created as soon as the level falls to 10
