Reply from nickyfourie on Jun 2 at 5:06 AM You can hire these people on SAP using EE group - External, EE subgroup - Sub contractor and payroll area - Non Pay and do not capture any pay related data.
Should they become permanent employees with your company, you can transfer them to the EE group of regular employees, changing the subgroup and payroll area as well.

We have workers from temp agencies and want to track their training in SAP. I thought about putting them in as external persons which works well. But if one of them is hired as our actual employee is there a way to convert that external person into an employee?
Also thought about putting them in as employees without pay. But you cannot hire an employee twice. Terminating and rehiring them doesn't seem right either.
