Not sure what reason code field you are referring to (could it be the Reason Code field that is available on postings to GL accounts) but you should be able to setup in the COPA Characteristic Derivation config area the ability to t/fer the content of the above Reason Code field into a custom created COPA Characteristic.
You would need to create that custom COPA Characteristic first, then set it into your operating concern, then build the derivation function to do the t/fer from the FI document GL posting line into that new characteristic.

I have a business requirement to extend to add customer reason codes (Over/Underpayments) to the Profitability Analysis - COPA to enable further slice and dice at the granular level.
Has anyone done this before?
