I am a functional consultant and have to develop a proof of concept for General Billing Interface in SAP.

I have never worked in ABAP before. My only aim is to be able to create a temple for the flat file and then read the file to generate a billing document of type FX. (I have a computing background).
Can someone please help me with the steps that I should follow to achieve this? I have never used reports before.
