Needed to complete the field assignment for the new field table field by entering the Table Name/Field Name within Search Help Field Assignment. Accessed SE11, enter table, clicked on the Field that had been assigned the Search Help, clicked on the Srch Help pushbutton to display the Field Assignment Popup. It's there I had to update the assignment for the new field. Now running function F4IF_DETERMINE_SEARCHHELP with TABNAME containing the transparent table name and FIELDNAME containing the field assigned search help, it now returns all of the assigned search help fields including the newly added field. Thanks for your help!
