PO13: create a new position under the Cost Center/ Org Unit from the
effectivity date. Assign the employee via relationship infotype to the
new position from the effectivity date. Run the PA40 'Transfer' action
post this to capture the reason for the CC change and its effectivity
date. (Recommended)
PO13: change the relationship infotype (Belongs to - A 003) of the said
position to the new org unit/cost center from the effectivity date. Run
the PA40 'Transfer' action to capture the reason for the CC change and
its effectivity date. (Depends on the whether the HR/ SAP policy of your
organization allows this)
PPOME: Change the effectivity date of the org structure to the actual
date for the change. 'Drag' the required position to the new Cost
Center/ Org unit and 'drop it'. the position will automatically accept
the new cost center from the effectivity date. Run the PA40 'Transfer'
action post this to capture the reason for the CC change and its
effectivity date.
(Not recommended - while this step seems the simplest, it is also the
one that is most fraught with problems, as if you by mistake change the
value for the incorrect position or accidentally delete an org unit
entirely. The potential for problems outweighs the time save by using
this method.)
