It is quite possible to have the NewGL activated. But not activating the
document splitting functionality. I think you should check with your client
their real business requirements. There many other SAP clients using the
NewGL but no document splitting.

I've just checked my EHP5 system and observed that it is with New GL active (Only Leading Ledger) and without Document Splitting.
In Document Splitting config steps, None of the methods are activated.
I would like to know why this Client is not using Document, when New GL is active.
Please let me know the possible reasons.
